An update from Unity Studios….
To those of you who are getting “nervous” about the project and who are asking “what’s up,” we hear you.
Please know Unity Studios & Village continues to move toward groundbreaking (which will happen soon), though progress has been plodding and, frankly, slower than we had initially hoped. We, as entrepreneurs and TV/film industry executives, tend to like to believe things can move faster on projects of this magnitude than banks, government agencies, and other realities often dictate. Details regarding the land purchase and other important project elements have slowed us down. For example, we had hoped to close on the land purchase weeks ago, but details with the banks and other issues took longer to settle than we had contemplated. However, they are now settled, and we are moving toward a certain closing date and, soon thereafter, groundbreaking. We had hoped to have shovels in the ground by the end of June, and that will be delayed some. But, Unity Studios is coming to Allen Park. Stay tuned for the announcement of the groundbreaking.
