Allen Park Cabrini 9-7, Bloomfield Hills Jewish Academy 1-1: In the first game, Nathan Ehred allowed two hits and struck out nine in six innings for Cabrini (13-3). Andrew Jeter also contributed a three-run home run. Andrew Black allowed one hit and struck out 11 in five innings for Cabrini in the second game. Black also hit two solo home runs in the game.
Gibraltar Carlson 9, Melvindale 6: Aaron Tenney pitched four innings in relief to pick up the victory and also went 2-for-4 with a double for Carlson (5-6, 3-0 Downriver). Pat Lancaster went 3-for-4 with a home run. Joe Foster had two hits for Melvindale.
Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 8, Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 3: Luke McCatty gave up four hits and no earned runs while striking out eight and walking one, and Stephen Miscovich went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and scored twice for Northwest (8-3). Tim Hutchinson went 2-for-4 for Inter-City Baptist.
