Last Thursday’s Division 2 girls’ tennis regional wasn’t a proverbial home run for Allen Park, but it was at least a ground-rule double.
The Jaguars finished second at the tournament, scoring 24 points and finishing only behind champion Dexter, which scored 28 points.
As a result, Allen Park will be making another trip to Michigan State University for the Division 2 state finals – and it won’t be alone.
Roosevelt placed third at the regional and earned a state berth as well, making the cut by scoring the minimum required points.
