Description: An Allen Park bowling alley is hosting a fund-raiser for the family of the Taylor officer who was fatally shot last month.
The proceeds of the Sept. 3 Roosevelt Lanes event will go to the relatives of Cpl. Matthew Edwards, alley co-manager Heather Mason said this morning.
The $20 admission fee includes three games of nine-pin bowling, two pieces of pizza, pop and a raffle ticket, according to organizers. The fund-raiser begins at 7 p.m. at Roosevelt Lanes, 6701 Roosevelt.
Edwards, 31, was killed on July 23 while responding to a call about a possible break-in.
