ALLEN PARK: City Administrator to stay on job despite resignation

ALLEN PARK — John Zech’s resignation didn’t last long.

The City Council and the city administrator reconsidered his resignation and Zech, who’s worked with the city since August, will negotiate a new contract.

Zech was on vacation Thursday and could not be reached for comment.

John Zech, who’d served the city on a day-to-day basis since his contract expired Dec. 25, resigned Friday afternoon.
