Firefighters restart man’s heart, saving his life

ALLEN PARK — Firefighters saved the life of a 58-year-old resident at about 3 a.m. Monday.

When emergency medical service paramedics arrived, the man was not breathing and had no pulse.

Hospital donates EKG devices to fire department

ALLEN PARK – A donation from the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital could help improve the way firefighters handle heart attack patients.

A new LifePak 15 monitor and defibrillator electrocardiography device, or EKG, which measures the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time, was donated to the Allen Park Fire Department.

ALLEN PARK: Deficit reduction plan passed, layoffs pending

The City Council has approved massive budget cuts.
