One day after finishing second at last year’s Division 2 tennis regional, Allen Park has been on a mission to win this season’s title. The Jaguars took advantage of the retooling Trojanettes by sweeping doubles and winning three of the four singles flights. Singles winners for Allen Park were No. 2 Mallory Nemeth 6-3, 6-3, No. 3 Madison Felt 6-1, 6-1 [...] Allen Park had its own tournament to tend to Saturday afternoon and coasted to a first-place win at the Jag Classic. Allen Park scored 22 points for first place, followed by Carlson second 17 and a third place tie between Huron and Lincoln Park which each scored four points. The Jaguars won six of eight [...] Anderson and Cabrini raised the curtain on the new tennis season Monday, with the Titans winning 6-2. Anderson took three of four matches in both singles and doubles. The Titans got singles wins from No. 2 Danielle Stacy (7-6, 6-3), No. 3 Kim Ridenour (6-0, 6-0 and No. 4 Caitlin Onodi (6-1, 6-0). Doubles winners [...] Last Thursday’s Division 2 girls’ tennis regional wasn’t a proverbial home run for Allen Park, but it was at least a ground-rule double. The Jaguars finished second at the tournament, scoring 24 points and finishing only behind champion Dexter, which scored 28 points.
