Wayne County officials do not approve proposed money swap

Wayne County officials do not approve of a money swap proposal to help the city financially.

That’s according to Dennis Miller, the Downtown Development Authority’s attorney.

Miller said he spoke Thursday with a Wayne County attorney who said the proposal goes against the Michigan State DDA Act 197(1975).

City officials told the Downtown Development Authority on Tuesday they were able to meet the $1.1 million bond payment on the 104-acre property formerly known as the Allen Park Studio Center.
